All the Write Questions / Freelance copywriting in Australia
« on: May 26, 2008, 07:00:43 AM »
Hello everyone,
I recently relocated to Brisbane Australia. Any advice on how to break into the copywriting scene here.
What courses (if any) do you recommend?
I am considering the Morris Journalism Academy one, how does it compare the Writer's Bureau? Is it worth doing? Does the "accreditation" with Australian News and Features (Pty) Ltd help you to get jobs?

Which websites are good for landing projects?

So many questions so little time, thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi there,
I am very new to the world of writing, but I find that I am completely unable to plan my writing up front - so at the moment everything I write is a form of SOC writing because I seldom know what is going to happen until I have written it.
The important thing to remember Sara is that there are no right or wrong answers with this type of thing so just have fun with it, and you are fortunate to have a tutor to guide you when you need it.  :D

Hi everyone and thanks for all your replies.

It is a wonderful rainy day here in "Sunny SA" Don't you love the irony!

Anyone know of a good online scriptwriting course?

Thanks again,

Hi there everyone, I have just joined the forum. I am a freelance writer currently based in Johannesburg South Africa.
Has anyone done the Writer's Bureau Course offered on www.writersbureau.com? Anyone find it useful?
Thanks, and looking forward to chatting to all of you
