Some time ago I wrote a short nonfiction e-Report.
and directly after finishing it I did put it on my blog.

It didn't generate a lot of attention,

So now - to create anticipation - in several blog posts about it,
I show little Samples of it.

That way giving you an opportunity to get a better idea
about what you can expect from it.

How Do You Create Anticipation and Attention
for Your Publications?

Writers Wanted! / Writing something nice?
« on: December 10, 2015, 08:09:12 AM »
Mmmm, it would be great when there could be a little collaboration
from writers that like to write something nice about the
Christmas Invitation(Menu) Card designs for Foodies
we created,

Although I did already receive a positive comment,
it still is a little 'Tumble weed town'
and it would be great to see some more.

The Writers Circle / Experiences with writing Book Reviews?
« on: March 31, 2015, 06:45:55 AM »
Recently for my photography blog, I wrote a Book Review about
a travel photography book that I read, and that I am enthusiastic about,

Only frequently my blog posts turn out to become more like a rather unstructured rant,
So I do think that I probably can better structure my book review blog posts,

Has anyone any experience with writing them? What do you think is
one of the most important things that you
want to see in book reviews?

The Coffee Shop / What Are Your Secrets of a Good Work Space?
« on: December 20, 2014, 09:01:59 AM »
I am frequently working on improving my work space and recently
(while putting up Christmas decorations etc. etc.) I also actually wrote
a blog post about things that can help make a good work space for example possibly
also putting in a Standing table,

I came up with this idea because I read from Bloggers - that spend a lot of time
behind their computers
- that they sometimes use a slightly higher table
to be able to do their working behind the computer while standing.

Has anybody any experience with having a standing table or have
other ideas that can help improve a work space?

Once in a while on a Writing Blog I write posts about 'Blog Writing' and about all kinds of other interesting types of
writing like for example things like writing Greeting Cards, - Filler Articles, - (Book) Reviews, - Short Stories,
or about Travel Writing and Novel Writing
. Also writing about all kinds of other things related to writing.

Only I was just wondering if there are type of writing that you are specifically fascinated about?
and what do you think makes those types of writing fascinating?

The Writers Circle / Do you Offer Workshops or Public Speaking?
« on: June 26, 2012, 09:51:16 AM »
On some Writer's Blogs you see that the author also offers
things like Workshops, or Speaking on Events
and doing Book Signings and things like that.

Do you do things like that? and how did you experience your
first steps into such an Arena?

Do you have any tips for Writer's that think
about entering such an Arenas?

The Writers Circle / What is - Writer's Lifestyle - for You?
« on: May 25, 2012, 08:58:58 AM »
For what - Writer's Lifestyle - is concerned what do you think about?

I am looking at several angles, a Writer's Lifestyle can have. Is it about Freedom? about
Learning about the craft, great way's and techniques of expression? About developing Imagination?
About being specially talented and Inspired? About Entering and Winning Contests? Getting Assignments?,
Chasing Deadlines?, About Fame? Perhaps about a - James Bond like - Lifestyle with High Tech Writer's Gadgets like eReaders, Laptops, Internet Research Tools or MP3 Player's listening to Inspiring Music when Writing? or a way to be able to for example 'Record' (Travel) experiences with Blogging? About Entertaining readers? ....?

The Writers Circle / Most Important Reasons for Choosing a Book?
« on: April 23, 2012, 06:35:21 AM »
Recently I wrote a Book Review about one of the Books from writer Steve Berry,
trying to explain what makes - especially - his Books so exciting to read.

'So I was wondering what for you are
the most important reasons for choosing
a specific book to read?'

What is one of the most important 'Ingredients' a
book minimally needs to have for you to make it interesting enough
for you to start reading it?

Sometimes I hear about people that seem to have started writing practically from the day they where born, or started writing when they where about eight years old, and with already having written several stories at the age of nine years old or somewhat similar stories..., I also heared about people that started writing for the School Paper, or somewhat similar publications, so I was wondering what my own first publication might have been,

I do believe that I first started with somesort of selfmade publications myself. Not really with a lot of actual writing like in a written story, more like funny 'Cartoon Style' things, with only a little text in them. Things that eventually also sometimes ended up being published in the School Paper.

So I was just wondering what type of publications
- your - first 'Creative Fruits' appeared in?

The Writers Circle / Submitting Filler ideas for Magazines
« on: January 30, 2012, 10:57:12 AM »
I researched a few Magazines and came up with a few possible places that might suit some of my
Filler-ideas, Fillers with using one or more of the photo's I have in my own stock photo catalogue.

So now I am wondering about submitting a Filler,
if you ever simply use the Telephone for asking if they would possibly like a specific Filler idea
and to ask if they don't happen to have some very particular submission guidelines?

Or do you just send them with 'Snail Mail' and submit them
on Speculation using double spacing etc. etc. and hope for the best?

The Writers Circle / Do you write for 'Content Sites?'
« on: January 06, 2012, 06:42:47 AM »
Some years ago I wrote all kinds of Answers for sites like for example 'Wiki Answers' and 'Yahoo Answers', just simply offering solutions to
problems by answering questions by writing answers. (Btw I actually frequently got voted Best Answer by the Question askers.) I do understand that there actually are
Sites that pay for writing articles, there used to be a site named 'Associated Content' (Btw. that now has a new name) and there are also
several other sites that buy 'Content', I do believe for example sites like eHow and Helium are other examples.

'Has anybody in the forum here has any experience with writing articles for such sites?
or possibly knows other somewhat similar sites they can recommend?
or interesting tips for writing articles for such sites?'

The Writers Circle / How Do You Do Your Magazine Research?
« on: December 20, 2011, 06:52:37 AM »
Recently on my blog I wrote a new post about Big & Small Writing Goals and Magazine Research, only for doing Magazine Research
to figure out the Writing Style needed, look at the advertising in it to get a feel about the people that read the Magazine, and to find out if they have a 'Star Letter' or 'Prize Letter' and things like that, I was just wondering how others do this, are you actually buying loads of magazines for your Research,
or do you go to a Libary to be able to read them? Or do you get sample - or review copies or something like that?

Self-Publishing Central / Help, I am getting Visitors to my (Main) Blog
« on: December 16, 2011, 06:12:09 AM »
Lately I mainly have been paying attention to just writing Blogposts or writing Comments back on Comments that I
received on Blogposts on several of my Theme Specific Blogspots. I also recently somewhat re-designed the Main Blogspot where you can find
a directory to all those Blogspots..., and now you can also see that I did put a little more attention to a tiny little eBook that I (pre) sell on that blog.

Now just minutes ago, I noticed that - besides some of the usual Daily Visitors to my Theme Specific Blogspots - I also noticed a lot more
visitors to my Main Blogspot than usual. On that Blogspot I also have a big (clickable) image of that tiny little eBook that I (pre) sell, and
since I seem to have a lot more 'Traffic' on the main blog than usual, it might be interesting to actually put a little more
attention on actually selling some of them. (also because in that I book I have an active link to my Blog(s))

'Does anybody have any ideas about how
I could sell them?'

The Writers Circle / What 'Fruits' did You Get for Your Writing?
« on: December 16, 2011, 05:15:13 AM »
As I wrote about in a Blogpost titled: 'The Secret to Writing Success', I wrote several
'Letters to the Editor' or 'Readers Letters' to several Magazines, and some of them
also actually got published.

'Sometimes it actually did earn me some 'Fruits',
like - besides the honour or being published - also actual Prizes.'

I remember to have won all kinds of things like for example an After Shave, or Gift Cards and things like that.
My Slogan/Photo Contests usually got me bigger 'Fruits', like for example a Color TV, (several) Photo camera's,
Invitations to Events,(even as a guest in a tv show), Beach Towels, T-shirts......, etc. etc.  also for example
a James Bond Directors Chair with my own name on it. (Btw. since I did have some successes with writing Slogans
in the past I recently wrote a post on my blog about Greeting Card Writing
Did you ever 'Earn' similar 'Fruits' like that? with 'Readers Letters' or did you actually earned money with some of them,
or did you Earn their trust for publishing other material? or did you win prizes with things like  Short Story Competitions
or something else like that?
