Me before you by JoJo Moyes.  Saw the film before hand and wondered if there was anything more interesting in the book.

There wasn't.  Got a little bored half way in although I managed to finish it.  Provoked some thoughts on living with disability.

Now moving on to Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. Met her last year  :)

All the Write Questions / Re: Productive Writing

Unfortunately, my writing takes place during lulls in my day. A half-hour at lunch, a half-hour or so in the morning, and maybe a longer stretch at night if life permits.

I'm like this too except the lulls have become fewer and further between.  I was attending beginner's poetry writing last year, but since I stopped going (December) I've barely written anything.  :(

a tip:

I think this breaks the flow of the first stanza.  I feel like you're forcing me to pause in my reading when I've only just started.

The second stanza is better for me. You could change
The over-saturation
comforts me,
as I believe the myth...

The fact that you are comforted indicates that you believe it.  I like the Blockedogy to bears preparing for winter.  That's a great image.

The village in Northern Uganda that my husband's family still live in.  We bought 5kgs of salt which was shared out between around 20 people and their families.  Back here it would have been this is ours, everyone else go get your own!

as if he had found a nitch.

Perhaps Jess is American?

I like the way this starts off.  I was expecting a piece of flash fiction, but it ends up reading like a diary entry (and you refer to blog entries).

pulling strings in there backs like a puppet master.
There should be their.

Keep working on it, Gordan could be really interesting   ;)

This is inspiring work, although I don't understand
"No teacher of tedium ever did escape a telling rash or rotting fishy smells".  Made me think of school nurses.  Or playing pranks on teachers?
