Title: your and you're
Post by: jt72 on September 22, 2019, 03:33:02 AM

Do you know the difference between your and you're? People
often make mistakes with these two words, since both words are pronounced the same way.

1. Your is the second person possessive adjective, used to describe something as belonging to you.

    a. Is this your wallet?

    b. Let's go to your house.

    c. Your blue eyes are beautiful.

2. You're is the contraction of "you are."

   a. I hope you're (you are) happier today than you were yesterday.

   b. You're (You are) the nicest person I know.

Good Luck with your writing.
