Title: Poem: My Stomach Does Backflips For Donald Trump
Post by: RosstheRoss on October 28, 2014, 12:05:06 PM
A light-hearted poem I cranked out before class. Enjoy!  :)

My Stomach Does Backflips For Donald Trump

I wonder why our stomachs
Do backflips
When we think about certain people,
But not others.

For instance:
Thereís this girl I like;
What a mix.

Sheíll jump on the bed
And grin like a kid.
Her neck is poised long,
Framed by deep oak-wood hair
Like a porcelain
Warrior queen.

She has eyes
Like soft tiger eyes
With a fire that says
ďTouch me without consent
And Iíll break your shins
Like spaghetti noodles.Ē

Iíll think about her,
And my stomach
Acts like an acrobat
Who enjoys his job
A little too much.

But what if I thought about someone else?
Like Donald Trump?
I donít get stomach backflips from him.

With the trained, double comb over
Bowl cut.
The craggy lines of stress Ė
All sixty years of them,
And the perpetual frown
Smack in the middle
Of a cherub face.

Sexy.

Yeah, I could understand
Why his stunningly young wife
Probably gets stomach flips too.

Fabulous. I am so jealous I didn't write S4 myself.  ;D

Welcome to the circle, btw.

I also like the tiger-eyes and the rest of verse 4, but my favourite is verse five.

Iíll think about her,
And my stomach
Acts like an acrobat
Who enjoys his job
A little too much.

"Touch me without consent and I'll break your shins like spaghetti noodles." Haha, she sounds feisty.

I liked this. Very amusing read! :)
