For a few days now, it appears that email notifications have not been getting through. This means you will not have been notified by email if a forum personal message (PM) has arrived for you, of if a topic for which you asked to receive notifications has been updated. It also means that the "report" system for notifying the moderators of spam or other unacceptable posts is not working.
Lee from our sponsors WCCL/SDN is investigating this, and hopefully normal service will be resumed soon. In the mean time, please remember to check for personal messages any time you visit the forum. In addition, if you see a spam post or something else that doesn't look right, please notify a moderator directly by sending them a forum PM rather than clicking on the "Report" link. Note that only emails are not working, so you can still send and receive PMs, but you will not receive email notifications when one arrives for you.
Hope that's all clear, and apologies for any inconvenience caused!
Nick :)

Cheers, I thought I'd done something to my settings when changing my profile for Script Fever. :P :o

Ma broke something . . . again. ;D
Thanks for calling maintenance, Nick.

It's all that rum sloshing around. Ruins the circuit boards :-\

A waste of good rum too. Maybe she needs to drink it from one of those spill proof (like hell) baby beakers.

I knew I'd get the blame. :'( ;D

Is it just my imagination, or is there less traffic on here since the email 'new posts' notification has been missing.
Or is it just because Brian and Spellchick are away on holiday?

;D ;D ;D ;D No your right Gyp. When people don't receive notifications they tend to think there has been no interest on the threads they like. ;)

Thanks again, Nick!

I'm not as blabby as Sio or FF!!!!!
I did notice some pages had hardly moved in my absence and felt a bit bereft, but I see there might be a technical issue and not a personal responsibility. Glad Ma is here to take the blame - at least some things never change.
