Just in case some of you don't know about the Writers and Artists Yearbook there is a web site

http://www.writersservices.com/mag/m_writers_artists_yearbook.htm

I think it just about sums up the art of getting published, it has lots of information, photographers, literary Agents, illustrators you name it!!   Everyone who is someone in this profession is in there!!  Take a look and see if this is for you.

The WAYB is indeed an excellent resource. I buy a copy most years.

For US markets, however, you should also check out the annual Writer's Market, from Writers Digest publications (www.writersdigest.com (http://www.writersdigest.com)).

Hi,

Yes - and for those who write children's stuff, there's the Children's Writer's and Illustrator's Market (most of whom are also in the above-cited books, but it saves wading through all the publishers who don't do kids' stuff)

Symphony

p.s. www.firstwriter.com is also a good source of publishers, editors and competitions
