Title: Hello from London England
Post by: Brindle on January 27, 2009, 07:35:30 PM
Greetings and salutations all... :)

A short intro from a newbie to the site.

I found a link to this establishment within another house, and here I see a few names from that place that I recognise.

I would normally go under the name of Tony, but someone here already has it.

I am an aspiring, or is that perspiring, never been published wanabee writer of limited skill and poor grammar.

I enjoy writing historical & crime novelae.  I have written three based on a crime fighting duo based in London, and a few others.
I am currently writing a full sized manuscript.
I also enjoy attempting to write short stories and offering critique on same.  My last critique was valued at around 13 pence.... :)

I'll take a look around the boards and add my thirteen pence worth here and there before plunging in with a story of my own.

I'm usually on a steep learning curve and I welcome any constructive criticism of my work for that is the only way I learn.

i hope to get to know some of you soon.

Take care

Brindle... :)

Welcome to MyWritersCircle Brindle or Tony if you prefer since I don't believe we have an active Tony around here at this time.

A lot of us are wannabes when it comes to being published, so you're not alone. I look forward to seeing you around the boards.

We have some guidelines, a few rules and would appreciate it if you take a moment to check them out. You'll find them by clicking the link below.. Please take a minute to review these points of etiquette at:

     http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

You'll notice some Blue stick-pin we refer to as Stickies
at the top of the topic boards to help you learn the ropes.

I hope you find this forum as helpful, challenging, and informative as I have.

Please browse around, check out areas you find interesting. If you have a problem finding a particular topic, try the Search button, it comes in handy.

If you review other people's work before posting some of your own for critiques or reviews, you'll find other members are more likely to read and reciprocate with suggestions, critiques and/or reviews.

The moderators are easy to spot due to all the blue stars floating above our heads. Any time you have a problem, we (any of us) would be happy to help in any way we can..

Smiles,
Alice - Deep in the Heart of Texas

Moderator, m'am.  Thank you also for your warm welcome.  All your points taken easily on board... :)  I'll be sure to take a wee look around first.

Oliver.
Thanks for your welcome too.  Three yrs ownership of a picture is good enough for me.  Its gone.  Please note I have now morphed into Bob....At least for a week... ;D  Or at least till I find an avatar I like.

Once again, thank you all.  Its nice to wake up to a welcome message or two.

Brindle...I'll keep Brindle... :)

Hello, Tony, and welcome.  "Wannabee writer of limited skill and poor grammar?"  You could have fooled me.  Nothing wrong with either from what you've written so far.

Look forward to seeing some of your work.

Hugh

Thank you Hugh... :)  I'm very pleased to be here; amidst some names I recognise is already a bonus.

Please, in due course check out one or two of my stories, you'll discover I'm a little grammatically lazy to say the least.
